About the role
As a Tax Advisor, your primary focus is on developing and delivering tax advice. You will research tax issues, support the drafting of advice summaries, and contribute recommendations that help clients identify opportunities, improve tax efficiency, and mitigate risks. Alongside advisory work, you will prepare and review more complex tax returns which gives you the technical foundation needed to provide sound, practical advice
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of tax advice that optimizes outcomes for clients and minimizes risks.
- Preparing complex tax or income returns where specific tax expertise is required.
- Identifying opportunities to add value to clients through both tax efficiency and proactive insights.
- Participating in client engagements, responding to queries, and maintaining a professional, client‑focused approach.
- Collaborating with team members by sharing knowledge and helping refine approaches to deliver high-quality results.
- Staying current with relevant tax legislation and developments in the field.
Your profile
- A master’s degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics or related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a tax advisory setting, ideally in a client-focused environment.
- Familiarity with Dutch Caribbean tax legislation and the ambition to deepen your expertise
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to your work.
- The ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- A proactive, ambitious mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Dutch, with a particular strength in clear, precise writing
