As a Senior Tax Manager, you are commercially oriented and a networker. You will be at the helm, steering client portfolios towards success and clarity in the complex world of tax legislation. Your mission will be to carve out a niche for yourself and Grant Thornton, ensuring the quality, progress, and profitability of client assignments. With your team by your side, you will lead the charge in commercial and substantive expansion, under the guiding star of our Tax Directors and Partners. You have the ambition to become a partner in the coming years. 

 

Core tasks

  • Strategically develop your business plan and portfolio, guided by the experience of the Tax Partner.
  • Contribute significantly to the tax practice's business plan and Grant Thornton's overarching strategy.
  • Lead, manage, and bear the day-to-day responsibilities for advisory assignments, ensuring excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Act as a project manager on larger, multidisciplinary client assignments, showcasing your leadership and organizational prowess.
  • Spearhead initiatives for product and practice development, driving innovation within the firm.
  • Build and actively manage your client portfolio, leveraging opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Foster a team culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence, contributing to the professional development of team members.

 

Who You Are

  • You have a master's degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, or a related field.
  • A seasoned Tax Manager with at least 6 years of experience, ready to elevate to a more strategic, leadership role and partner material.
  • Commercially oriented and a networker.
  • Possessing deep tax knowledge and expertise, with the ability to manage significant advisory assignments and exceed client expectations.
  • A leader capable of inspiring, coaching, and developing a team, with a consultative and democratic approach.
  • Demonstrating a strong drive for business development, client acquisition, and the entrepreneurial spirit to seize market opportunities.
