As a Senior Consultant within the Advisory practice, you are going to work for customers who operate both nationally and internationally. Your customer portfolio varies from government, trust, insurance, fund, banks and retail to consumer and schools. Your expertise in IT is applied in a variety of projects, ranging from IT Audits, transition design to operational risk-based projects and other consulting engagements. In a nutshell you will work with organizations to identify and manage business processes and related (IT) risks within their strategy execution model and apply current knowledge of IT trends and systems processes to identify security and risk management issues, as well as other opportunities for overall process improvement. You work closely with the managers, partners and consultants in a dynamic, lively team that embodies the Grant Thornton ethos: ‘Go Beyond’.

As Senior Consultant you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Information Technology or Business engineering;
  • 3 to 6 years of related work experience in IT audits, Internal Audits, Financial audits within a similar consulting or accounting practice;
  • Ability to document testing in a highly detailed and precise manner;
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills;
  • You are communicative, customer-and result-oriented and a team player;
  • You are curious and take initiative;
  • You are socially involved;
  • You have experience in managing less experienced team members;
  • You have an eye for commerce;
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency in Dutch and English. Knowledge of Spanish or Papiamentu is a major plus;
